What Do You Think of the Speakers Cruise Free Theme Music?

OK... one of the things I talk about in the Speakers Cruise Free Coaching Club is branding.

It's vitally important!

(Go to Bonus 1 at that link to read about the Club)

I am speaking all over the country (world, when I'm cruising) so I thought I'd better put my money where my mouth was and have some theme music created for my engagements, products, etc.

I was fortunate enough to get former Flock of Seagulls member Mel Morley to compose the music below especially for me. BTW Mel is a huge talent and has also played and recorded with K.C. and the Sunshine Band and Paul Schaffer of Late Night with David Letterman fame.

You can read more about Mel here or contact him at midimel@aol.com

Now I want your opinion.

Listen to Mel's work and leave a comment. I want to know your thoughts.

Thanks.

Daniel, I like the music, it's catchy and has you sorta bobbing in your seat and tapping toes. I can see this being played a couple of minutes before you come on to start getting everyone in their seats, because something good is about to happen. It also seems to have an Egyptian flavor to it, can almost see you riding a camel in Egypt - better plan a trip to Egypt. Lady Carolyn

Sounds great, Daniel. I think your point of branding with a sound is very valid and I like what you have developed. It would be neat to hear what reactions you get from the groups when you speak, compared to when you had no music. I fully expect it will be helpful; I'm just curious how it will manifest.

Speakers Serenade - good temp with an upbeat that's what cruising is all about.

We all have a purpose/message in what we say when hired to speak, so when I heard the music, the title "Crusin' with a Higher Purpose" (which is not in reference to religion) is what came to mind. Good luck!

Voices (dancing) On the Seas of the World.

(or) Voices Crossing the Waves of the World

(or) Speaking Voyager on the High Seas

I also wanted to say that the music is lively and upbeat - something to really push the 'I want to travel to exotic locations' button!

This definitely would ad to professionalism and credibility.

That's the way aha aha,
I like it!

It does sound Funky, even with a little flavour or 'Indian Rain Dance' and with a somewhat 'Sunny Reggea like sound' in it also. It does sound uplifting and 'Sunny'.

Great idea to use Music for your branding, a lot 'Motivational Speakers' also have recognisable tunes.

And I must admit that it does sound somewhat more professional than the 'Mystical Music experiment' - I made (and mixed) myself - that I used as Royalty Free music for my own 'Jogging On Gran Canaria' promo video :)

You can hear it at:
http://hpshappytravel.blogspot.com/2008/01/jogging-on-gran-canaria.html

there is also a great site for 'Music Clips' at 'http://musicbakery.com' they also have some great music out there!.

All the Best,
HP

The music is fun and upbeat. It invites one to "be happy". I would suggest a possible name be: "Are We Having Fun"

LUV THE MUSIC!

My suggestion is...

THE BEST CRUISES IN LIFE ARE FREE!

A play on the title, The Best THINGS in Life are free.

Can't wait to speak on a cruise ship.

Great idea, Daniel. The music is a good match for your passionate, upbeat style, with a hint of mystery and foreign flair. How about "Speakers Cruising Easy"

Thanks and Best to You!
