The Gift That Keeps On Giving...
2006 has been a great year and I have you to thank
for it. As a token of my appreciation I wanted to
send you a gift for the Holidays.
The gift I have decided on has lots of different
benefits all rolled up into one package.
For example --
==> If you would like to know how to create ebook
.pdf files without spending a mint buying the
Adobe Acrobat product ... then this is a
perfect Christmas gift for you! Remember
eBooks are highly profitable and they can be
used to enhance your credibility for getting
cruise ship speaking gigs. My gift will help
you make them.
Go get it:
http://www.massivebutpassive.com/SuperTip.html
==> Whether you are a cruise speaker or
entrepreneur or both if the success or failure
of your online business depends precariously
on the whims of the search engines .... then
you must download my Holiday gift to you and
cut the search engine cord!
Here it is:
http://www.massivebutpassive.com/SuperTip.html
==> If you have been searching for a way to get
free, responsive traffic to your site. My
gift has the answer. There are 3 separate ways
to bring traffic to your site using
affiliates, distributing articles and
creating ebooks.
And my Christmas gift to you will show
you a way to link all these together to
produce a rapid multiplying effect which will
increase your traffic by an exponential
factor.
Gift pick-up:
http://www.massivebutpassive.com/SuperTip.html
==> If you want to see an ingenious use of viral
marketing - one reviewer called it "The
greatest viral marketing idea of all time" -
take a look at my gift to you. Its called -
The Ultimate SuperTip - and I literally
marveled when I saw how easy viral marketing
could be employed in any business.
And last but not least...
==> If you are interested in a simple way of
unleashing a viral wave of sales into your
PayPal account... look no further.
http://www.massivebutpassive.com/SuperTip.html
As you can see this truly is a gift that keeps on
giving....
Wishing You Blessings For The Season,
s/ Daniel Hall
P.S. If you are seeing this post after Christmas 2006 --
the gift will still be available. Think about it as a "just because" gift.

I Don't Want You To Miss This
This past Thursday night I did an introduction to my new Cruise
Free Advanced System Teleseminar. The phone lines were jam-
packed with people from the U.S., Canada, UK., and Australia.
If you missed this event you can get the recordings (either
listen online or download them).
Here's the link:
http://clik.to/advancedcruisesystem
This was not a typical sales call teleseminar! For a solid hour
I gave my tips and tricks for how to go about cruising free!
Plus, I provided a follow-along guide to help you keep track of
the ton of information I revealed.
You'll hear what I mean when you listen -- but I can assure you
not a single second of your valuable time will be wasted if you
aspire to cruise free by trading your talents and expertise for
luxury cruises.
Word to the wise: Be glad you're on my mailing list because near
the end of the call I introduce a special time-limited offer for
folks on the call to my Cruise Free Advanced System Teleseminar
event scheduled for August 30, 31.
A bunch of people took advantage but I discovered my boo-boo...
Early yesterday evening, I realized I did not tell you about the
offer or the availability of the recordings.
Go listen --
http://clik.to/advancedcruisesystem
Since its a Summer weekend (and it was my mistake), I'll keep
the offer open only for members of my list until Monday morning.
God bless and happy cruising,
Daniel
P. S. Don't forget to download a copy of the follow-along guide
(cheat sheet) to help you keep track of all the valuable
information I relay during the call --

UT Honor and Class
I wanted to post about several things. First, if you will be anywhere near Austin, Texas on July 22, 2006, I will be teaching my “Speakers Cruise Free” class at the University of Texas at Austin (Home of the National Champion Texas Longhorns). You can sign up at the UT website http://www.informalclasses.org/
Also, I was very honored to learn that my class was featured on the UT Informal Class Catalog cover. See below:

Or you can see the cover by clicking here.
Also, stay tuned I’ve got big news on an update to my top-selling e-book – “Speak on Cruise Ships.” But here is some inside news: The new e-book will have 3 hours audio interviews with owners of the world’s leading cruise speaker agencies who tell you additional ways to cruise cheap and in some cases free by using cruise speaker agencies. (Hint: This is advantageous because these agencies do a lot of the groundwork for you). More to come….

New Article -- Your Talents For A Free Cruise
Thought I would share a new article that you'll likely see accross the web...it details talents (including but not limited to public speaking) that you can trade for free (or substantially discounted) luxury cruises; some things you may not have thought of before, enjoy, God bless and happy cruising....
Your Talents For A Free Cruise
by Daniel Hall

It’s true! You can trade your talents for free (or substantially discounted) luxury cruises. Cruise line management is very interested in keeping their passengers happy at all times. This goal is a bit more challenging on days when the ship’s at sea. To address this issue the cruise lines offer all manner of onboard activity. Many of these activities are staffed by outside people who typically cruise free or at discounted fees paid to booking agencies. One key advantage is the time commitment, which is generally minimal for those who are contracted (usually an hour per day on days when the ship’s at sea). Also, most outside contractors get to bring along a traveling companion who also cruises free.
You may consider whether you could trade your talents for free cruises. To assist in your self-assessment here is a list of positions typically staffed by outside people:
Enrichment Lecturer: Many cruise lines have formal enrichment programs that offer edutainment type programs in a variety of topics. A majority of these programs use destination-driven lectures although many lines will also consider general interest topics.
Art and Crafts Instructors: Craft classes are an onboard staple at sea. Projects range from so called “high art” like watercolor classes to simple macramé projects. Typically, the more popular classes are those that are also destination related, i.e. handicraft or folk art of one of the countries on the itinerary.
Dance Instructors: These classes too are often related to the destinations being visited, i.e., Line dances (Texas); Meringue (Dominican Republic); Salsa (Puerto Rico), Samba (Brazil), Tarantella (Italy) etc.. Obviously you must have happy feet and know your business, but there is much fun to be had.
Bridge Players: If you enjoy playing bridge and have a “knack” for it, you can spend a couple hours a day in the game room playing in exchange for your cruise. Many times a requirement here is that your traveling companion must be ready, willing and able to sit in on a game should a pair need to be completed in order to play.
Gentleman Host: Single? Chatty? Happy feet? Impeccable manners? Gentleman will be expected to appropriately entertain unescorted ladies on the cruise. Dancing and polite company are the stock in trade for this onboard position.
Computer Instructors: Many cruise lines are very interested in contracting with folks who can deliver a series of onboard computer classes.
The list does not end here. Many cruise lines will consider any kind of tasteful and interesting activity. In any event, trading your talents for free cruises is worth investigating further. You may wish to check out http://www.speakerscruisefree.com/PartIa.html for a free 6-part online video course entitled “Introduction to Cruise Ship Speaking” for more information on the opportunity.

Dottie Walters, Rita Emmett & Claude Diamond Chime In On "Speak on Cruise Ships"
I have been blessed with a recent trio of endorsements for my book from paragons in their respective fields: Dottie Walters, Rita Emmett and Claude Diamond. I'm almost speechless (I said "almost") but am truly humbled by it all. Here's what they had to say...
Dottie Walters --
Dottie Walters has been a hero of mine for many, many years -- long before I began speaking. For over 25 years she has been a world-renown motivational speaker, author of "Speak and Grow Rich" and is considered the grand-dame of the speaking business. After I completed my e-book "Speak on Cruise Ships" I wrote Dottie on the outside chance that she would review my book and honor me with an endorsement. Below please find the relevant portions of an e-mail reply I received from Dottie:
************************************************************************************
Hello Daniel,
Here is the endorsement [set out below] for your new book that you asked me to do. It is a pleasure because this is the finest book I have ever read on this topic. In fact, I believe it is the first one ever written on the topic. When you think of all the beautiful pleasure ships that sail the "7-Seas," I wonder why someone has not written this important book before! Here it is at last!
...
Great job, Daniel!
Dottie Walters
---------------------------------
"Speak on Cruise Ships: Eight Easy Steps to a Lifetime of Free Cruises" by Daniel Hall is a magical book. My thought was, "Why hasn't someone written this before?" It is clearly presented and covers any problems that might come up.
This book outlines every detail necessary for you to treat your family to a cruise, while you instruct and teach your subject in a magical environment.
Dottie Walters, President. CEO
Walters International Speakers Bureau

By the way, as I've said at other times on this blog, any of Dottie's products or services are treasures especially if you're in the speaking business. Check them out at: http://www.speakandgrowrich.com/index.htm
Rita Emmett --
And if that were not enough, I am honored to have received this review from best-selling author and all around great person, Rita Emmett who is herself a frequent cruise ship speaker (so she really sees the value of the book for would-be cruise speakers and arts and crafts leaders). Thanks so much, Rita.
*************************************************************************************
"If you've always wanted to cruise all over the world and you think that doing it for free sounds impossible, you've got to read this book.
People who would never guess that they had something to speak about will be astounded with what you'll read. Daniel teaches you step-by-step how to turn your hobby or special interest into a talk, shows you how to format the talk, and even guides you to making an easy to follow lesson plan and handout. Don't put off reading this - it can make your dreams come true."
--- Rita Emmett, author of The Procrastinator's Handbook
************************************************************************************
And if procrastination is a problem in your life, YOU NEED Rita. No, not a Margarita! Listen. Do yourself a favor and check out Rita's website at http://www.ritaemett.com/ she has the tools to transform you into a super-productive yet balanced and contented "mover-and-shaker."
Claude Diamond
I've known Claude for a number of years. He is an expert and author in real estate and sales and I have personally used his materials to make thousands of dollars in my own real estate investing. Claude is also a highly sought after platform speaker appearing nationally. Here's what Claude had to say about "Speak on Cruise Ships"
************************************************************************************
I love this book! This is the way all how-to books should be written. Daniel Hall has truly captured a unique way for anyone with the inclination to cruise free by giving interesting talks or conducting simple arts and crafts classes! And he lays it all out as easy as A-B-C.
Claude Diamond, The Mentor

Claude's stuff is great too and I commend it to you. Check him out at http://www.ClaudeDiamond.com/
There you have it. If you were on the fence thinking whether or not to buy this book, I hope these comments help you in your decision-making. You can get the book at http://www.speakerscruisefree.com/ or if you haven't already signed up for my FREE 6-Part video course "Introduction to Cruise Ship Speaking" at http://www.speakerscruisefree.com/PartIa.html that would be a good first step.

You Know Cruising is Hip When...
Hello, everyone. I'm back from a week of skiing in Ruidoso, New Mexico. It was very warm and the only snow was man-made. The good part: we had the town practically to ourselves. When I was gone, I received an e-mail ad promoting a music cruise. These are not too unusual. This ad got my attention because of who was promoting it: Dave Matthews.
See: http://cruise.davematthewsband.com/
Dave is a major figure in the pop-rock world and has a huge following (this accounts for the two large ships they're using). What piqued my interest is I've never seen a cruise being promoted by such a major celebrity. Cruising truly has become hip among thirty-somethings and younger. This is proof. All the better for cruise-ship speakers or those aspiring to be because the industry will continue to grow leaving even more opportunities for free cruising.
Also, don't forget you can sign up for my "Cruise for Free" workshop sponsored by the University of Texas at Austin on January 28. Register here: https://informalclasses.org/index2.html
Go to "View Courses" and then I am the first class listed under the "travel & culture" category.

A New Year Call Into The Future
Happy New Year! ... and what a great one 2006 will be!!
I've got to tell you what happened to me on New Year's Eve.
At 5:28 p.m. I received an e-mail from a customer who was having problems ordering my book. She then ended her message with what I recogized as a non-US/Canada or European telephone number. (At the time this was happening I did not know where the order was coming from.)
So in an effort to provide the best customer service I can, I decided to call the number using a new IP telephone service that we have been using to record my new internet radio show "Secret Information Revealed." (I'll keep you posted when this goes live). With the service you can call any other computer (who signed up for a free account) for FREE!!!! And you can call any other landline in the world for very low cost (2 cents a minute to most places).
So I rang up my customer. She was a little surprised. I asked where I was calling and she said South Africa, Happy New Year!!
That's right...I was calling 8 hours into the future, into the new year! How wild is that? I felt like I was in the movie "Back to the Future"
Anyway, we got her problem solved. And I got my very first order from South Africa. By the way, the techniques in the book will work for anyone, anywhere in the world.
In case your wondering how to sign up for this service so you can call around the world free, its called Skype and you can sign up through the banner below.

The class is the first listed under the "Travel and Culture" category under the "View Courses" tab.
If you have any questions e-mail me at Daniel@SpeakersCruiseFree.com . See you there.

Usable News & A Gift
I'm recently back from a great Western Caribbean cruise. I took my mother and really enjoyed spending time with her. That's another one of the many beauties of cruising free as a speaker. You get to take and then spend quality time with those that you love. Priceless as the ad goes.
If you have been toying with the idea of taking the next step toward getting yourself approved by the cruise lines then I encourage you to sign up for my FREE new 6-Part video mini-course, "Introduction to Cruise Ship Speaking." The course is chock-full of the information you'll need to get started! This is over 45 minutes of material (broken up into 6 nice bite-sized chunks) and is a great way to dip-a-toe and to find out how to go about lining yourself up for one of the greatest gigs in the world -- cruise ship speaking!
My gift to you?
Here it is..... check out Part-1 without even signing-up. If you like what you see there's an opt-in form immediately below the video screen, give me your name and e-mail address and about every other day you'll a new installment.

Cruising Free as a Speaker - Mistakes to Avoid

By Daniel Hall
Being an approved cruise enrichment lecturer is the greatest gig on the seven seas. The deal is simple: you furnish the cruise lines three or four 1-hour lectures on subjects you love and you get a free cruise for yourself and a companion. The best part is the lectures are usually scheduled on sea days so you’ll have every port day totally free to explore. Further, you cruise as a passenger (not a crew member) so you’ll get every other passenger perk, too.
Although it is relatively easy for anyone willing to try there are some pitfalls to becoming an approved cruise lecturer. Here are the things you should watch out for:
1. You don’t do your homework. Learn which cruise lines have enrichment lecturer programs and what topics they generally seek. The cruise lines will know if you aren’t asking intelligent questions. You’ll only be able to sound intelligent about their programs if you’ve done your homework. Being labeled as an amateur because you have not done the required up front work
will be the kiss of death to your application.
2.You don’t pick “good fit” topics. The lecture topics you pick must succeed on two fronts. First, they must fit what the cruise lines seek. Second, you must be passionate and knowledgeable about them. This is easier than at first it may sound. From your homework you’ll learn what types of lecture programs the cruise lines like to have onboard. Onceyou have done that, find topics within your personal knowledge base thatmatch what’s popular on the cruise lines. You may have to make a list but EVERYONE has at least two or three topic areas in which they have proficiency, if not expertise. However, if your topics are all wrong, you’ll fail before you start.
3. You don’t make a professional, cogent presentation to the cruise lines. You’ll need to sell yourself and your lectures to the cruise line. Take the time to do it right. Be prepared to talk about how the lecture(s) fit within the cruise line’s format. Why passengers will like the lectures and why you’re qualified to talk about it. Get to the point. If you botch this initial communication with the cruise line they won’t have much faith that you can communicate in front of an audience of their passengers. Consequently, you may not get the chance.
4. You send an unpersuasive “lecture packet.” If you have done a good job with the initial contact, the cruise line will want you to follow-up with more information about yourself and your lecture. Think about this information as a mini-press kit that may contain a video or audio of your lecture. Your lecture packet must continue-the-sale that you started with the initial contact… if it doesn’t you’re in trouble.
5. You’re not flexible. You are trying to get your foot in the door. It will pay to be as flexible as possible with the cruise line about when you can cruise. Remember, you are there to help the cruise line entertain/ educate its guests. If you limit the time you can cruise to a specific week of the year, you may never set sail. Show as much flexibility as your schedule will allow and you’ll dramatically increase yours odds of getting approved.
6. You don’t educate yourself in the process of getting approved. Learn all you can about how to be approved as a lecturer. Not only will it streamline and take the guesswork out of the process but also dramatically increase your odds of success. Where do you start? At http://www.SpeakersCruiseFree.com/

Cruise Speakers Tip #1 - Internet Access
When you're frequently cruising as a speaker or "enrichment lecturer" affordable Internet access is difficult to find. Generally, access is available on most ships but can be cost prohibitive if you spend any amount of time online. While there are usually reasonably priced Internet Cafe's in most ports of call, my preference is to find the local library which invariably has at least 30 minutes of free Internet access. I have found that the library is just as a close as an Internet Cafe and most English speaking and many Spanish speaking ports have libraries with Internet access. Give it a try.
Juneau Video
Here are a couple videos from our day of shore excursions in Juneau, Alaska when I was speaking during an Inside Passage cruise. Immediately after the video shot at Mendenhall Glacier my wife caught a glimpse of a baby brown bear chasing running salmon in a nearby stream. We all got so excited we forgot to video the encounter. Maybe next cruise...
By the way no trip to Juneau is complete without a refreshing libation at the Red Dog Saloon.
